Yeah, I know.

But you know what? See rather than wait for the Scottish media to jump on this, I thought I’d get in there first.

To be fair, I had two stories that a certain Scottish media outlet stole yesterday and didn’t bother to credit me for it so they are due this rant.

First off, let me say, Ange Postecoglou is going nowhere.

We all know this. The media knows this but it is just a matter of time before they print or publish some obscure article linking Ange to the Londoners.

I’m going to put my money on this article by The Independent.

Twenty minutes ago they published a list of managers who are now favourite to land the job and, yep you’ve guessed it, Ange is 11/1 to be the next manager.

There are SEVEN managers ahead of him in this list but as we all know, a bookies favourite list means absolutely nothing in the context of managers who are actually in with a chance of the job.

In the list we have:

Rafa Benitez 10/3

Rafa Benitez 10/3

Ralph Hasenhuttl 5/1

Nuno Espirito Santo 6/1

Marcelo Bielsa 15/2

Carlos Corberan 9/1

Steven Gerrard 10/1

Frank Lampard 10/1

But, of course, we will need to suffer the inevitable headlines of the Scottish media’s sensationalist headline of ‘Ange in shock running for EPL job’ nonsense.

I give it till lunchtime before the Daily Record, Sun or Football Scotland run a story.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?

Wait for it, wait for it. As you say we know, just like my increased winter energy bills, that it’s coming from the scum hun rags but I’m think I’ll trust what Ange has said before, he’s here and got a job to do. I have a soft spot for Palace. Paddy McCarthy has been installed as interim and he’s a well admired coach at the club so that would be my pick. I just hope they don’t consider Gerrard, that would be fatal for them and actually a downgrade.
