I must say from the highlights I saw of Liverpool’s win over Manchester City last night the men from Anfield were very impressive.
Of course, at the time the game was on I was more interested in Celtic’s draw with Dundee – what a mistake that turned out to be – but since I’ve seen just how the Reds took City’s air of invincibility to the cleaners.
That said, I was also impressed by Andy Robertson’s performance as he continued to bomb down the left like a Scottish Roberto Carlos and cause havoc against a side that’s proven so tough to beat this year.
Naturally, then, he and Kieran Tierney are going to come head-to-head for the national team whilst his performance last night saw many suggest he’s better than KT, too:

Anyone daft enough to still compare Kieran Tierney to Andy Robertson

The daily record tomorrow no doubt. This simply puts Tierney’s value up surely 🤷🏻♂️😂

How does Scotland of all places have two left backs as good as Robertson and Tierney

Robertson a class act. Wonder if Tierney is watching this thinking this summer could be time to depart to bigger and better things.

Can’t believe I ever put up an argument of Tierney being better than Robertson 😳

Robertson is streets ahead of Tierney. Absolutely class

No having anyone even put Tierney close to Robertson tbh

Verdict
I mean, it is hard to argue with those saying Robertson is better after last night but I would suggest that Tierney could be at his level or higher when he reaches that age.
We’re forgetting just how young KT is given how much we’ve seen already and so, personally, I don’t really feel that inclined to say that I’d swap him.
