Celtic’s recovering winger James Forrest isn’t minding the recent cancellations due to the bad weather as his club face another blank weekend.

“I was glad last week`s game was cancelled too as it gives me a better chance of getting fit and hopefully I can get in and about the team again” – James Forrest

Teenager Forrest has only just returned to full training after being laid low for the past couple of months by an ankle injury, but is still short of making a comeback.

However, with the latest game against Kilmarnock having since been wiped out, the talented 19-year-old at least has the chance of another week of preparation ahead of the next fixture against Hamilton.

“I was glad last week`s game was cancelled too as it gives me a better chance of getting fit and hopefully I can get in and about the team again,” Forrest told Celtic’s official website.

“When I started training I was just in and out but the last week-and-a-half I have been doing what the rest of the boys have been doing, and have been doing running in the gym afterwards,” he added.

“So I feel good. I’m just taking every day as it comes and working hard in training.”
