Road shows and open meetings aside, not all of us were happy when Neil Lennon was appointed as the new manager of Celtic, however, none of that matters now…

What does matter is making sure that Lenny does not have any extra pressure placed upon him from within the Celtic support between now and the end of the season. Leave that to the bought & paid for Celtic detractors in the media – the sad thing there is that they would happily to do it for free, although the usual rent-a-quote ex-celt’s only do it for a fee!

Yes, the rookie mistakes that most of us expected are there from Lenny, but some of our players have not exactly covered themselves in glory and, if anything, have made Lenny’s task all the more difficult with their, quite frankly, inexplicable, schizophrenic performances and lack of fight when placed under even the most modest of pressure. Even common sense seems beyond them at times! Lets confine our gripes and moans to our various forums and blogs, though. We are all in this fight together, you, me, Lenny and the players.

None of us can make some of our players better than they are or in some instances; more experienced than they are. And I seriously doubt that Martin O’Neill could do it far less Lenny. We are where we are – and how we got to where we currently are is an entirely different debate for another time…

The league is still there to be won and our man from Lurgan is still very much in the fight. Our job is easy – back him until the fight is over.

  • Maybe. What he really needs to show though is that he can listen. So far he has not done a good job there. It is all about Neil. He is not bigger than this club. We are one of the biggest in the world and he should be honoured to be in the position he is. He needs to focus again and play every game as if it was the one determining whether or not he has a job next day. leave the ref stuff alone and do what Stein did. Win. then the refs can’t beat you.
