Well, after his latest update he had to post something positive now didn’t he?
After Romano claimed that Josip Juranovic could leave the club this summer, he has now posted this update that all Celtic fans have been waiting for.
Taking to Twitter (again) Romano posted, “Celtic have confirmed to Benfica their intention to trigger buy option clause to sign Jota on a permanent deal in the next days. 
#CelticFC Benfica are now prepared to receive €7.5m for 70%, just waiting for player to discuss contract details with Celtic.”
And he credited Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda with the breaking news.

With speculation circulating for weeks now that Jota’s signing is set to be announced ‘within the week’, almost a month later there has been no movement on the signing until now.

Jota has been pictured on holiday wearing Celtic tops and that has fueled the fans hunger to get the man signed up.
For €7.5m this would be an absolute steal for Celtic.
Jota has the ability and the will to go to the very top and at just 22 years old, he has plenty of developing in him yet.
Fingers crossed this deal is done by the end of the week so we can all move on and look to the next big signing.
