Celtic seems to be a hotbed of transfer activity this morning but it does look like at least one announcement is set to be made.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been reached between Celtic and Rubin Kazan for Swedish international, Carl Starfelt.

Romano tweeted this morning:

“Celtic have reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan to sign Carl Starfelt, done deal and here we go. €5m as final fee – negotiations completed. Next target: Brandon Soppy. ⚪️🟢 #Celtic Official announcement soon for Starfelt, personal terms agreed as advanced one week ago. 👇🏻

The Italian journalist always has his finger on the pulse when it comes to breaking transfer news and he was one of the first to break Celtic’s interest in Starfelt on 6th July:

With a €5m fee being agreed between the clubs, Romano also claims that personal terms were agreed almost a week ago.

Postecoglou has always been vocal in the need for reinforcements and it seems now that he has finally got his man, “We are working on multiple fronts. There are some pretty obvious gaps we have in the squad. They are the areas we are working really hard to find the right players.”

“I know exactly how I want to play and the kind of players we need. So we are looking far and wide. There’s challenges with getting players into the country and doing business so early in the window.

He concluded: “The whole club is working hard and I’m hoping over the next week or so, we have some announcements.”
