Celtics summer transfer business will be one of major fascination for the fans this year.

With a £40m bounty incoming from Champions League group stage qualification, Ange Postecoglou should have a healthy budget to spend on reinforcements for the upcoming defence of the title and the assault on Europe.

Stage 1 is complete. Now we move onto stage 2.

And if the first stage is anything to go by, the upcoming next phase in the Postecoglou revolution should be absolutely storming.

But that will take players and Ange is a master at finding them.

And then there is this one. The hero for Frankfurt in Europa League triumph last night as recommended by former Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas:

Now, let’s take away the fact he is valued at over £15 [Transfermarkt] which automatically makes him unavailable for the Hoops as the board will probably never sanction a move of that magnitude, is he really better than what we already have?

The Colombian striker has 16 caps but no goals.

In 45 appearances for Frankfurt, the 26 year old has scored only 12 times but he does have 8 assists.

Now I know he is playing in the Bundesliga but over his whole career he has never hit over 15 goals in any given season.

Would he be able to do it in Scotland?

I suppose the point is moot, as we couldn’t afford him anyway but what do you think of that suggestion?
