Look, we know their supporters all live in fantasy land. We know that they like to tell themselves wee kid-on untruths, och lets call it like it is, they like to tell themselves lies to help perpetuate the Rangers myth that they are the same club.

‘Bought history’, ‘engine room subsidiary’ (WTF is that anyway?), ’55’, ’56’, and the pièce de la résistance? ‘The World’s Most Successful Club’.

Now, even if they didn’t go into administration, walk away from all their debts and then eventually liquidate, even if they were still the same club, it’s still a lie.

Why they even play that game is beyond me. But yet, they do because it’s inbuilt into their superiority complex that erodes away every single time Celtic pick up a trophy.

And it’s making Charlie Miller  feel sick.

The former Oldco ‘wonderkid’ is now worried that Celtic will become the ‘most success……’ nah, I can’t even do it. He is worried we are going to overtake their trophy count (even though it stands at 2).

“I played 10 Old F*rm games and never lost any of them,” Miller told the Daily Record.

“That was great but believe me I know how this current Rangers team feels because it hurts us all as fans. It makes us sick to the stomach.

“They just have to pick themselves up, dust themselves down and go again. You can’t ever give up as a Rangers player and there’s still a prize to be won this season before we get down to work next season.

“We still believe we’re the most successful club in the world so it’s worrying to see Celtic closing in. We still take a lot of pride in that achievement, of course we should.

“But it’s getting mighty close now and as a club, from the board down to the manager and the playing squad, we really need to start thinking about how we get things right again.

“Mick has done well. He’d got all the results we’d been looking for since coming in before Sunday, which was obviously a letdown. But we’ll stick by him, support him and take it from there.

“I hope Mick learns from this because we’ve got a good coach here. I really do. I want Rangers to be successful under him too.

“He’s got the next couple of transfer windows to get this right but the summer one coming up is vital because we can’t go another year without winning the league again. That’s just not on.”

Get things right again? Things haven’t been ‘right’ since the new club came into formation.

For me, this is another soundbite when serious questions, and I mean serious questions, should be getting asked about that club by their fans.

£100m in losses and only two trophies to their name. If that was my club, I would expect our fans to be fuming.

But they are content. Well, that is until we become ‘The World’s………………’
