Former Rangers man David Healy has praised the Hoops for signing up young Linfield man Ben Wylie into our youth set-up.

As quoted by Belfast Live, the former Ibrox striker was reflecting on the deal that sees the 15-year-old join our club and youth ranks as he looks to take his career up a notch.

The ex-Fulham man said:

“He has had the chance to sign for a good club that will look after him and really develop him as a player, and we wish him every success.

“Celtic is also a club that will look after him and makes sure he settles in.”

He may have Rangers connections but he seems to be spot on with what he has had to say here.

We’ve got a great set-up and a first-team manager that will closely monitor the young Bhoys so I’m looking forward to seeing how he progresses.

The Verdict

Wylie is a young kid so there’s no telling exactly how he is going to progress in the coming years.

He’s at the perfect club for him, though, with plenty of chance to grow and there is obviously some talent around him so let’s see how he does.
