Celtic target Ado Onaiwu has spoken of the speculation surrounding his future after he netted his twelfth goal of the season for Ange Postecoglou’s former side Yokohama F Marinos.

In a report by The Sun, Onaiwu said he is focused on helping Marinos win the league and that anything after that will take care of itself, “I’ve read about the speculation about my future, but my only thought at the moment is to try and catch Kawasaki Frontale in the league because they are nine points ahead of us.

“I think I’ve had a pretty good season and a lot of that is down to the chances created by my teammates.

“We are on a great run after winning six matches in a row and I think you can see that we have not let the loss of the manager cause us problems.

“I believe I have improved a lot even from last year and this season I am scoring chances that I may have missed last season.

“But to win the league I must keep scoring goals and that’s what I want to do here. The future will take care of itself.”

The Japanese international has feature twenty times so far for Yokohama and is really impressing after scoring against Avispa Fukuoka at the weekend to keep his side in the hunt for the J League title.

Valued at just £1.1m (according to transfermarkt) it would seem a risk free investment on a 25 year old who has won the Asian Champions League and comes with plenty of first team experience.
