Before the international break, before the St Mirren game, we as a club were buzzing. 6 games and 6 wins in the league, a spirited performance against Madrid and a point away in Europe gave fans real optimism about another potential invincible season. That all came crashing down against the Buddies in a shambolic display that served to highlight there is still work to be done.

Unfortunately, the old adage of getting right back on your bike after a fall proved impossible due to the international break. Today we are finally here and time for the team to put right the last performance. Motherwell will prove to be tough opposition, despite their inconsistency in the league. They will be in our faces especially during the first 20 minutes, hoping to exploit any doubt in our minds following our last performance.

We will also potentially have some tired legs out there, some like our captain, have played 3 tough, gruelling international matches, while others, such as our Japanese players will have had a great deal of international travel over the past two weeks.

However, I am convinced today will see us back on winning form. It’s time for our strikers, particularly Maeda to put to rest any nagging doubts about their finishing and show their clinical best. Our international stars, despite any tiredness will take on the challenge to again make sure we are the elite team in Scotland.

Take one game as it comes, We Never Stop… I’ve missed this!
