The best striker we have at our club is Kyogo Furuhashi, if you were looking for movement, pace and natural finishing ability, the Japanese striker is head and shoulders above anyone at the club.

But at our club, we are fortunate to have two first-class strikers competing for the starting spot. More importantly for Ange and the club, they both offer a very different prospect for opposing teams to face.

The benefit here is that both Furuhashi and Giakoumakis have the full trust of the manager and, despite a season of injuries for both, between them they netted over 30 goals enhancing their track record for knowing where the net is.

Because of this, Ange knows he can trust both of them to perform and can then develop a strategy based on who we are playing rather than the necessity of having to rely on one striker to lead the line.

That’s why tomorrow, Giakoumakis should be leading the line for us at Dingwall.

Ross County will offer no surprises for us, we know their style, they will be physical, abrasive and will not be afraid to leave their mark. The quality of pitch will also be a factor, inhibiting our passing fluency.

The physicality up front that Giakoumakis brings means he will be able to hold the ball and bring others into the game, get into the box and get on the end of crosses. That’s why for me the Greek frontman has to start.
