The Green Brigade have issued another protest banner at the gates of Celtic Park and this time the focus of their attention is non Executive Director, Thomas Allison. The fans group has been piling on the pressure to the Celtic board with a banner for everyday over 100 days Celtic are without a manager.

In a single tweet posted tonight, the message was simple:

Allison was appointed to the board in September 2001 in the non Executive role as a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.  Allison is Chief Executive of Clydeport Plc, executive director of Peel Holdings Plc, Chairman of Wood McKenzie, and ECO European, and an executive director of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. He is a council member of the CBI in Scotland.

Is Ange Postecoglou the man for the Celtic job?

NO

The Ultra’s campaign doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon, but with Ange Postecoglou due to arrive in Glasgow by the weekend, one wonders if the campaign against the board will step up, or ease off.

The Green Brigade have, by all accounts, long seen themselves as the voice of the fans and are no stranger to protests this season.  When results started to falter back in November last year (many would say October) they made their feelings known to the club about “saving the ten” on the eve of a Europa League match.  I wrote at the time that their timing couldn’t have been worse but they, like others, foresaw what was happening before them and tried to raise concerns then.

There is no telling how long this will go on for. Clearly there is next to no chance of ousting the board so one wonders what the end game will be?
