It was a tough weekend for Celtic. Despite having enjoyed a good few weeks domestically, the Hoops fell short against Hibs, and we lost our spot at the top of the table as a result.
Though not a massive blow for Celtic, the reality is that we now face a fight to regain our position in the Scottish top flight, and that’s never going to be an easy thing to do.
Fortunately, Celtic did progress into the Europa League knockout stages on Thursday, and today (Monday) UEFA staged a draw to reveal our next opponents.
As confirmed on the official Celtic website, Valencia were drawn alongside us, meaning that we’ve got a trip to Spain to contend with in early 2019.
Though a European powerhouse with a rich history, Valencia are in a tough spell at the moment, and they’re struggling in Laa Liga. Unsurprisingly, then, many Celtic fans online are feeling pretty confident.
Indeed, for some fans, this draw has allowed them to regain their smile after the weekeend, and it’s left them feeling pretty happy indeed.
See what they’ve had to say below…
Need to up our game a bit, but it is a tie we can win

They also don’t play a high pressing game like Salzburg which is a style we struggle against badly. Happy
