“He does not care if he plays or not” – Ex players verdict on Hoops striker

|

There has been much said about Albian Ajeti and his transfer move to Celtic. Whether the striker is good enough or not is a matter of debate and only time will tell, if and when, he gets more playing time to prove his worth to the team.

Ex Hoops hero, Frank McAvennie, has a slightly different take with his opinion on the Swiss striker as he claims that Ajeti doesn’t care whether he plays or not.

McAvennie says he would love to know who told Celtic CEO, Peter Lawwell, that he would make money in the future on his £5m signing from West Ham and he would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the negotiations for the striker.

Speaking to Football Insider, former Celtoc striker McAvennie said, “I do not know who signed Ajeti and told Peter Lawwell that the club can make money on him.

“I would love to have been in the room with whoever justified paying £5million for him. How can you justify spending £5million on a player like that, a player who strolled about at West Ham and is now doing the same at Celtic?

“He does not care if he plays or not. I do not get it.”
