“He wants to be sold” – Celtic stars former President makes transfer claim

|

Another day another Celtic transfer story is being mooted about.

But this time it’s not from the Scottish media. Surprising and unexpected.

As Ange Postecoglou’s side juggernaut their way to another Scottish title, normally transfer stories come to the headlines or rumours of the manager leaving or being ‘tracked’ or *insert another reason* are published which makes the fans rolls their eyes and despair at the journalists in our country.

But this transfer story is one that has been brought by a completely different source. This one comes from Maccabi Petah Tikva President, Avi Luzon.

And sharp-eyed Celtic fans will have caught on that he is, of course, Liel Abada’s former club chief

Speaking to One, Luzon said, “I believe he will be sold to the Premier League this summer.

“There was talk already in the last window, but he did not want to be sold.

“They offered him to extend a contract and I know he didn’t agree, because he wants to be sold. I don’t know the names of any teams, but there are offers and I believe it’s over 90% likely that he’ll move to the Premier League this summer.

“I hope he continues to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure.”

Abada has been on the sidelines for the best part of this season but has still managed to make a significant contribution to the team’s cause with twelve goals and seven assists.

The 21-year-old did get cryptic just last week when he intimated that there were personal issues going on behind the scenes that no one knew about so could this be the reason behind Luzon’s assertion?

No doubt losing Abada would be disappointing, but with the amount of talent we already have at the club, would the Celtic fans be concerned about losing him?

Not with Ange Postecoglou a the helm they wont.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?
