Celtic fans all know that the gaffer is a class act.

Ange Postecoglou is man of honour and integrity and he is also a fierce supporter of players from his homeland making it in the game.

That is why this revelation from Newcastle player, now on loan at Hearts, Garang Kuol will come as no surprise to the Hoops fans.

Kuol singed for Newcastle in the summer transfer window and at just 18 years old, he is a player that many in the game have high hopes for.

Labelled as a ‘wonderkid’ [The Herald] Kuol was then sent on loan to Hearts to continue his development and the winger has made eight appearances for the Gorgie side this season so far.

The youngster, however, did reveal that Ange Postecoglou reached out to him not long after he arrived in Scotland.

Speaking to Australian media outlet, The Age, Kuol said, “It was very brief.

“He just said, ‘I hope you’re settling in well, and keep working hard.

“I’m happy to see you’re working hard, and hopefully, you can keep doing well.

“It’s good for him to show that he cares about other Aussie players in the league, and that he’s there for them.

“It was a very good moment.”

Kuol is on loan at Hearts until the end of the season and will be expected to return to Newcastle in the summer.

This touch from the Celtic gaffer is just one in a long line of reasons why the Celtic fans have taken him to their hearts.
