After the dust settled on a hard-fought Glasgow Derby, most of the analysis has gone on some contentious non-VAR decisions that should have seen Celtic awarded a penalty and admonished Carl Starfelt of any wrongdoing over the Fashion Sakala ‘foul’.

It simply wasn’t a foul. Ever.

Anyway, the turning point for me in the game is when Greg Taylor went off injured and was replaced by Josip Juranovic. I’ll get onto my thoughts about that substitution later on in the day but I think it is fair to say the Croatian World Cup star struggled. Big time.

So much so that I reckon he could have done his case for a big move more harm than good after being found wanting at the equaliser after being caught out of position. Again.

A common theme in the Champions League followed Juranovic to yesterday’s Glasgow Derby and I think it’s fair to say he didn’t have his best game for us.

But it did seem that the performance had not put off any suitors and Mark Hendry addressed rumours claiming that Chelsea had placed a £13m bid for the right back.

Not so says, Mark Hendry:

Although no club was mentioned, there have been plenty of rumours that Torino and Roma are holding a candle for the 27-year-old.

I guess we won’t have long to wait to see how the Juranovic story plays out but one thing is for sure, after his performance yesterday, it does seem as though his heart is elsewhere.

How good is your knowledge of the Martin O’Neill era?
