Now the dust is starting to settle on the Glasgow Derby, the focus turns to the transfer window and whether or not Celtic will be adding another body to our ranks.

With three signings already confirmed, it is widely expected that Ange Postecoglou will add a fourth name to his squad before the window closes at the end of the month.

With Cho gue-Sung being the most talked about name after his World Cup heroics where he scored a double against Ghana, it seems now that there could be some substance to that particular transfer rumour.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker is apparently the subject of a £2.2million deal and a report has claimed Celtic are facing stiff competition for his signature from Greek side, Olympiakos.

But it does seem that Galatasaray are out of the running as the Turkish club have also been consistently linked with the 22-year-old.

According to the Daily Record, representatives from gue-Sung have said, “The talk about Galatasaray is false.

“We are negotiating with Celtic and we expect more offers.”

If this report is accurate it will also cast doubt over the long-term future of Giorgos Giakoumakis.

The Greek striker is apparently keen for a move since contract negotiations broke down last month.

Either way, at least Celtic are still active in the transfer market and seem to have a contingency plan should Giakoumakis decide to move on in January.

All this talk of signing a new striker and not a mention of a new goalkeeper. Joe Hart is simply not up to the task. As a club that seems to give away lots of penalties, how many does he save or get anywhere near saving ? How many clubs have one shot at goal and score ? And how many goals does he gift with his slack play ? Age is catching up with him yet he seems untouchable with no other of our keepers being given a chance.

i cannot understand why gio is not given more game time is record when given a chance is very good . i also think he is better than the south korean. So for me we would be taking a step backwards by replacing him with a player not as good.
