With numerous player incomings due at Celtic Park, the last thing the club needs are more players looking to make moves away from Paradise.

With Edouard, Ntcham, Christie and Ajer all expected to be making their exit this summer, the need for reinforcements has never been so desperate for the Hoops.

One player who also looks to be heading out the door is Ivorian striker, Vakoun Bayo.

Bayo was farmed out on loan to French Ligue 2 club Toulouse last summer and was an instant hit.

In thirty appearances for the French side, Bayo netted 10 goals which is fairly impressive but being in the second tier of French football will not impress the majority of Celtic fans.

However according to Glasgow Live, Toulouse’ President, Damien Comoli, has told of his desire to take Bayo to France on a permanent deal, “The ball is in his court. We are still awaiting a response from him. At the end of the campaign, he told me he wanted to come back here again for the new season.

“I talked about it with our manager, Philippe Montanier. He is a player he wants to have for the new season.

“We had a purchase option which we did not exercise because it would have been too expensive for a Ligue 2 club. We would have considered it if we had won promotion.

“I don’t know if he has a future at Celtic, but I don’t think so. We are waiting to take him back, but the delay is at his end.

Only Ange Postecoglou has an idea of where the Ivorian internationals future lies and many supporters may not see it at Celtic Park. But with Postecoglou’s style of powerful and attacking football, would Bayo be the ideal striker to fit into his system?
