So how many people would be upset if Josip Juranovic left the club??

There is no doubt that the Croatian is a talented player for the club but the recent speculation surrounding his future has thrown up some interesting takes on just how important Juranovic is to Ange’s team.

Will there be any sort of outcry if Juranovic is sold by the fans? Are the fans really that bothered if he does go in January?

Hugh Keevins doesn’t seem to think so.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “Well, the Celtic fans have their saying, ‘In Ange, we trust‘ so they will back his judgement.

“If Juranovic left people would be disappointed but I don’t think it’d be a devastating blow to the Celtic fans.

“Not like Hatate or Matt O’Riley or Furuhashi.

“I don’t think he’s in that level of support from the fans but I’m sure Ange Postecoglou will know exactly what’s going on.

“And if it’s Johnston in, Juranovic out, the Celtic fans will trust him.”

The only thing Keevins is right about here is that the Celtic fans do trust Ange.

They trust him to get transfers right and make sure the club is kept on an even keel and, so ar, the gaffer has not let us down one bit.

But is Keevins assertion that the fans wouldn’t be devastated correct?

Surely losing a player of Juranovic’s quality isn’t good news.

Normally, I’d disagree with him wholeheartedly, but if the rumours that Alistair Johnston is about to sign for the club are true, then I suppose I go back to what Keevins said at the beginning.

‘In Ange We Trust’.
