I found this, as the headline suggests, a rather bizarre take on Celtic’s squad and readiness for Europe this season.

Speaking on A Celtic State of Mind, Kevin Graham laid bare his view on the clubs transfer business so far and had a very pessimistic view on how he thinks this squad will do in Europe’s premier competition, “Our focus is now on Europe and we won the league last season and maybe people will probably say it was was a surprise from where we were at this point last year.

“For me, there’s a lot of optimism regarding Celtic at this precise moment in time.

“And I’m really not fully on board with the full optimism yet.

“Mainly because I think we’re pinning our hopes on natural squad progression more than the signings we have actually brought in.

“I still think there’s massive scope for improvement on a European stage.

“But all the hope that we’re feeling at the moment, is down to one man. Ange Postecoglou.

“And at the moment, I fear going into the Champions League with this squad. I really do.

“Because even though we done well in the Europa League last season, the Champions League is called a completely different kettle of fish.

“And I’m just hoping that Postecoglou will manage to build the squad more and more, rather than the signings we are actually making.”

This must be the single most negative view I have seen in the club in a long time.

We have only just started our work in the transfer window. Personally I think this view would have been better served had Graham waited till the end of the window and then assess were we are.

Some people think if the think the worse anthing else is a bonus imagine living your live with that look out in life what a bore he must be we are in champoon league six games at least and this bore comes out with a statement go back ur bed and hide under the covers

I agree with his comments, we still have the same defence that conceded far to many goals in the europa which is the 2nd level, the champions league is a massive step up in class .we still need to bring in experienced defenders.

I know the permanent signings of Jota and CCV have been expensive, but we’ve only actually added one new outfield player to the team from last season, so the fears are justified. We need to be making another 2 or 3 signings if we want to make our participation in the CL worthwhile.

What is he trying to say we won’t win the champions League?.How deluded were we eh?.Just a natural born whinger.Get into group ,give it a go,and what will be,will be

Most Celtic supporters know ACSOM is a front for the Scottish mainstream media. They’re fooling nobody.

Totally agree with you, we really do have to be optimistic, not pessimistic. There’s no certainties in football, but Ange has certainly got me feeling better about how we are approaching our football. In my opinion, whilst never liking seeing Celtic getting beaten, in some of our European defeats, I witnessed some really good football, and some of it from our team. Let’s buckle up, and enjoy the ride.

The main transfer business was always Jota and CCV. Can you imagine the reaction if Celtic had not managed to sign both of these guys? Do these clowns realise that Celtic are only allowed to play 11 players. Would signing another player for 7/8 million to replace one of the success stories from last year be a good use of money? Personally, I want Kyogo, CCV, Jota, Mc Gregor, Hart, Juranovic and O’ Reilly in the team. That is 7 players. Then Bernabei makes 8. It would take some signing to replace any of these guys. If Hatate makes anywhere near the start he had, after having a decent rest not to mention GG. Celtic are as strong as they have been for years. I don’t think we can get much stronger as we have certain budgetary restrictions which clubs from the bigger leagues do not have. I reckon Celtic will make a fist of the groups, depending on the draw.

That is 1 idiotic post getting 3 players on permanent deals instead of loans 3 players who came in January after playing a full season in Japan new back up goalie young players signed who were brought in last summer now ready to play in the 1st team going to sign 2 more get a grip give ange a chance our Europe league group more like a champions league group we collected 9 points unlike the other lot across the water who in a easier group got 8 and they got through after that they played some very poor teams dortmund being one didn’t play as a team played as a group of individuals
