Seems to be a day for Celtic departures today.

After Vasilis Barkas near miss with Sheffield United being broke less than an hour ago, another Celtic player has went one step further and sealed his move away from the club.

Young Irish defender, Lee O’Connor, has left left Paradise for the shores of Tranmere as he seals a two and a half year deal to the League One club.

O’Connor has been on loan at the club since 2020 and it seems this is a move that suits all parties.

Speaking of his move [The Daily Record], the 21 year old said, “I’m delighted. It was something I’ve wanted to do for a while as I’ve loved my time here so far.

“I’ve really felt at home since my first day. Not only am I enjoying it personally but I think I’m developing really well and I just want to continue that.

“I feel like this is the best thing for my career and it was an easy decision. To play your best football you have to be happy and I’m happy.

“We’re on a good run now and it’s just about keeping it going, starting with a big game on Saturday.”

And it seems that he won’t be the only defender on his way out the club as the report says the club are keen to offload misfit, Boli Bolingoli in the January window.
