It looks like Celtic have started their summer transfer work early.

Just as they did with the January window, it seems Ange Postecoglou is determined to start next season off in a better footing than he found the club when he took over.

With top first team players leaving in a mass exodus, Postecoglou found himself in an uphill struggle to try and get the squad ready for the season ahead and it seems that he is not keen in repeating that process this summer.

Just last week, reports broke of Celtic’s interest in Bristol City’s, Anotoine Semenyo.

Celtic had reportedly sent scout, Craig Strachan, to watch the 20 year old and that story was confirmed today by the strikers agent, Tony Finnigan.

According to a report [Football Scotland] a conversation was had with Strachan and the agent as Finnigan confirmed, “I had a conversation with Strachan who rang up to ask little bits of info on the player and a bit about how I found him and what he’s like as a lad.

“That was it. If it’s something they’re going to do in the summer window I’m not sure but it’s nice to know that his talents are going as far as Scotland to one of the great institutions in world football.

“There’s not really much more to say than that.”

It’s clear the interest is real, but is the intent?

Celtic may well be forced out of a move should any interested EPL clubs up their interest but this is one we will watch very closely.
