There are many players in the Celtic team that could be nominated for player of the season.

Aaron Mooy, Greg Taylor, Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor or Jota.

All of them have a great case to be put forward for the award but my money is on Greg Taylor to pick up the accolade.

The defender has been absolutely immense this season.

But it wasn’t Taylor who Andy Walker was referring to when he was being lavish with his praise after Celtic’s 3-0 win over Livingston this week.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Walker said, “Well, the way he takes most goals, he’s just ice cool.

“I really loved the one recently where he did the lob over the keeper at Celtic Park as well.

“But his movement is absolutely terrific.

“He doesn’t get involved in a lot of the build-up play. He just wants to be fed in and around the 18-yard box or over the top.

“And invariably he’s onto it in a flash and he gets a shot away.

“I think he’s a better player this season than he was last.

“He’s getting used to Scottish football, he’s getting sharper and obviously he is scoring at a better rate.”

Kyogo has been absolutely immense this season.

21 goals so far and not a penalty in sight.

The Japanese hitman is deadly in front of goal and the way he took his finish against Livingston on Wednesday night was just sublime.

And the scary thing is he’s only 27 years old. He’s just getting into his prime years.

What a headache he will be for defenders in the SPFL for years to come.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfer additions in these seasons?
