As Ange Postecoglou gets off to his competitive start as Celtic boss, the fans where impressed with the teams performance in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland at Celtic Park on Tuesday night.

With the team playing some great free flowing football considering the threadbare nature of the squad, Postecoglou so far has impressed the Celtic fans with his start as boss and it fair to say that the fans can’t wait to see what he does when the Aussie gaffer gets in his own men.

Speaking to Vital Celtic, author and editor of The Celtic Way and ACSOM contributor Anthony Haggerty gave his initial thoughts on Postecoglou’s start as Celtic manager and he has been impressed, but he does offer a note of caution, “My thoughts so far on him? I think he was very impressive when he when he spoke to the media and the fan media.

“But there’s a fine line between talking the talk and walking the walk.

“But he certainly talks to talk and he’s got a track record of success, in both Australia and Japan and with the Australian National Team.

“So I think augurs well. But he’s never had a job of this magnitude in Europe.”

There is no doubt Postecoglou’s handling of the media has been very popular amongst the Celtic fans and it’s his absolute honesty and straight to the point style the fans have not seen since the days of Martin O’Neill.

Like Haggerty says, the future does augur well for Postecoglou and after the teams performance on Tuesday night, the fans certainly have a lot to look forward to.
