With Celtic fans all falling in love with Jota this season, much of the talk has been around making the young Portuguese loan move a permanent one.

The 22 year old Portuguese winger has been in sensational form for the Hoops since signing on loan from Benfica, and with the option to buy set at around £6m, the Celtic fans are desperate for the club to stump up the cash and make the move permanent as soon as possible.

But gaffer, Ange Postecoglou, seems more relaxed about the whole situation. As reported by Football Scotland, the Celtic gaffer was speaking about the potential of making Jota a permanent addition to the team and what he said was very interesting, “I think with all those kinds of issues, I know people tend to get really excited.

“I tend to let those kinds of things happen naturally.

“For me, I wasn’t just signing someone who I thought had talent, I was signing someone who really wanted to come to this football club.

“That’s really important for me because I think this football club gives you a unique stage if you are an ambitious footballer.

“You get to play in front of big crowds, in fantastic atmospheres, you get to play in Europe, you are constantly challenged every week to be successful because this football club demands that.

“For me, the situation with Jota or anyone else who is here is that if both parties want this to continue, I think we’ll make it continue.

“I’m not going to be jumping at situations for any other reason that I think it’s the best thing for this football club.

“Jota is enjoying his football here. He’s loving the club, loving his teammates and the way we play. He loves playing in front of our supporters.

“If that continues and he wants to stay at this football club, then we’ll start those negotiations and come to an agreement.”

The type of language and phraseology being used by Postecoglou was very telling.

I would be willing to bet a deal is not too far off as Jota does seem to be loving life in the east end of Glasgow.

Postecoglou’s relaxed manner is very telling and it does seem to me that a deal could be struck to deliver Jota to the Hoops fans, permanently.
