As Celtic prepare for the massive task of taking on Bayer Leverkusen tonight, the injury list just keeps growing for the Hoops and it looks like what was already a mammoth task, is turning into an enormous one.

With a raft of first team picks out of the equation, journalist Tony Haggerty, has hinted that two names may be in the fray for a return tonight which would give the team and Ange Postecoglou a massive boost.

Speaking to the Essential Bite podcast, Haggerty hinted to a return of Celtic captain Callum McGregor and hitman Kyogo Furuhashi, “It would be big boost for Celtic to possibly just to see them back and possibly feature.

“But I think if you’re Ange, maybe not risk them in that and see how it goes, unless you have to risk them.

“I think Celtic maybe prioritise Aberdeen on Sunday because they can’t afford to lose any any more ground in the league race.

“It will play out the way it does, and if they need McGregor and Kyogo then he may think, ‘Okay, I’ll throw them on and give them some game time.’

Give their legs like a stretch but if he doesn’t need them he won’t use them.”

If the Hoops do see a return of both of these stars, it will give the crowd and the team a massive boost on what promises to be an epic European night under the lights at Celtic PArk.
