It’s been a fantastic season so far for Celtic, and 2019 has got off to a flyer. We’ve done better than most could have expected, and that bodes well for the rest of the season.

From now until the end of the campaign, though, it’s going to be very intense. The games are coming thick and fast, and it’s important that we have our best team available at all times.

Fortunately, Brendan Rodgers has been given a boost in pursuit of that very aim, with the news that defender Kieran Tierney is edging closer to a return. Rodgers has confirmed that he’s back in training, but he’s still working on his match fitness.

This is, obviously, huge news for us. Tierney is so important, and whenever he’s missing we just don’t look as impressive. Fortunately, he looks to be past the worst of his problems, and hopefully, he’ll be back soon. It’s important not to rush him, of course, but the sooner he’s back the better.

Unsurprisingly, many Celtic fans are delighted with the news, and lots of them have taken to Twitter to celebrate.

  • Having our injured players back training is like signing new players. For all the time we have had 5,6,7 players on the treatment table, the rags said very little about it.!!. Had that been sevco with that amount of players out , it would have made national headlines!!! What other club could have survived that period?. As for McGregor getting a two game ban, it still does not get Aberdeen the point(or points) they should have had, if the thug had got a red card, and Aberdeen the penalty they should have had!!.
