“It’s possible” – Pundit makes ‘massive’ treble claim and bold title prediction

|

The Celtic players will be enjoying a well-earned rest over the next seven to ten days.

Now that the formality of the Sydney Super Cup is out of the way, those players that are not participating in the World Cup now have the opportunity to rest and relax before taking on the next half of the season.

But what is encouraging is that whenever we return from an international break, traditionally we always come back fitter and stronger.

And considering we finished up strongly, this is something that should worry our rivals.

Pundit, Tam McManus has made a bold claim that the title is already over and that Ange Postecoglou has his sights on the Treble.

Speaking in Football Insider, McManus said, “Well it’s over, isn’t it?”

“Celtic have been incredible, just the one loss. It’s remarkable really. The title is already in the bag but you just know Postecoglou won’t let Celtic become complacent. They won’t give Rangers a route back.

“I think he wants to win the treble this season. After such a poor showing in Europe it would not surprise me if Ange was targeting a treble to almost repay the fans.

“It’s possible as well, Celtic are by far and away the best team in Scotland right now, it’s certainly possible.

“That would be a massive achievement for Ange in just his second year with the club and it’s something you can see happening.”

Now, even though we are nine points ahead, I would never claim the title is over. It is certainly in our hands but I’ve been around football long enough to know that you cannot get complacent.

And that is something that Ange will not allow.

He will keep the team laser-focused when we return.

As for the Treble?

If we can continue to be as relentless as we have been, it’s difficult to see anyone stopping us.

It is going to be one helluva second half of the season that is for sure.
