Celtic had a weekend to forget, and so it’s important that we don’t worry about it and move on. We can’t afford to reflect on the game too much, we simply need to get back to winning ways.
That’s exactly what the team are planning, it seems. Ahead of Celtic’s tie with Motherwell, James Forrest has been discussing the game, and it’s fair to say that what he’s said is exactly what fans will want to hear.
As per the official Celtic website, Forrest said: “It’s good we have a game so quickly after that. The games come thick and fast so we just need to look forward”.
He continued: “We have a hard game tomorrow, so hopefully we will rectify the mistakes, get a good result and get back to winning ways like it should be”.
It would be easy for the squad to get down in the dumps and panic, but that’s not what they’re doing. Fortunately, with another game so soon after their last, they can only really look forward.
In truth, it looks like Forrest, at least, is simply putting the game down to a poor performance, and he’s ready to right all of the wrongs at the first available opportunity.
Celtic are, clearly, determined to pick up a win – and that’s exactly what we need.
