It’s no surprise that Celtic are in the hunt for additional firepower come the New Year and the opening of the January transfer window and we are reportedly in a battle with rivals Rangers to secure Fran Sol.
It has been claimed that both Glasgow sides have been tracking the highly-rated Willem II attacker and with him impressing in the Dutch Eredivisie in 2018/19, it’s believed the 26-year-old would quickly make the adjustment to the Scottish Premiership game.
The one downfall to the speculation I can see here is reports go on to suggest that English Premier League sides Burnley, Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town are also tracking him – and then we get some big Championship boys mentioned in the shape of Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Derby County and Swansea City. It sounds like an agent spreading their seed and with 15 goals in 18 games the players will be looking to move on given in spite of his efforts, his club are only two points above the relegation Play-Off spots. Add to that he’s out of contract come next summer, I don’t think I’m being overly cynical is assuming this is a ‘come and get me, somebody’ plea we see these days.
With that said, fans reacting to the news on social media seem to quite like him.
Well have him. Don’t let go to rangers . They’ll ruin his career and abuse him. ????????????????
