Joe’s delight

Midfielder Joe Ledley was delighted as Celtic made it eight successive wins this season against Dundee United at the weekend.

Returning to his usual midfield role the Welsh international almost added to his own goal tally when drilling a shot against the woodwork during the second-half.

“It was a massive win. Obviously we were under a bit of pressure because Rangers had won on Saturday, but we knew we could put on a good performance and get a result, and we did that,” Ledley told Celtic’s official website.

“We had to wait until the last minute although the game should have been over in the first-half,” he added. “It was a great performance straight from the first whistle.

“We got right at them and could have had three or four in the first-half, and in the second-half it could have been more.”

As for the challenge of Old Firm rivals Rangers this coming weekend, Ledley simply can’t wait: “I`m buzzing for it,” he said. “It`s a massive game and we`ve got to keep our heads and play as well as we can and try to win the game.”
