Celtic is a fantastic club. When the fans, manager, players and board are all pulling in the right direction, the club is like a steam train and recent history backs that.

Those that are old enough to remember the Kelly & White dynasty stranglehold that almost killed the club.

The state of almost disrepair as Celtic became a laughing stock finishing behind the likes of Aberdeen and Motherwell in the league with the fans disenfranchised.

Fast forward to the Fergus McCann years.

Wee Fergus had a dream for the club.

A common goal shared by the fans and a he hired a manager in Tommy Burns that immediately bought the belief of the fans.

The legend that is Tommy put together a team that showed what Celtic is all about.

Fast, free flowing football that entertained the supporters and if it wasn’t for a certain teams financial doping then how successful would that team have been? But that is for another day.

The point is that when supporters, managers, players and board are all singing from the same hymn sheet, the club is unstoppable.

Nine in a row. Seville. The second nine in a row. Invincibles. Quadruple Treble. All achievable when every aspect of the club is united.

And John Hartson believes that current boss, Ange Postecoglou has already achieved that. Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Hartson said, “The one thing Ange done is united the crowd. He has united the club again.

“There’s a togetherness. That that for me is huge and to have done it in such a short space of time.

“The players that he’s brought in. The impact the players have had. And there’s a feelgood factor now at Celtic.

“For the last twelve months we it’s just been a case of, ‘What’s gone wrong? You know, this player is not at it, we’re losing games, we’re drawing games’, but now there really is a belief now in the crowd and the players.”

Now many will argue that work is still required by the board to buy into this, and with Ange absolutely and overwhelmingly having the complete backing of the Celtic support, if they (the board) where not already bought into Ange they had better well be now.

Because imagine the wrath if Ange walked because of lack of support from the suits upstairs?
