So all week we have been hearing that the Benji Siegrist to Celtic deal is set to be completed this week.
All week we have had journalists commenting that the deal is almost done or it is just ‘days away’ or some other nonsense that they come away with.
Well it seems that may not be so according to journalist, Alan Nixon:
Looks like Siegrist talking to yourselves and other clubs … maybe he won’t get a number one job like he wanted … and take the best ‘reserve’ offer he can find. https://t.co/G4c7xFjKQi

What isn’t known is exactly who else the former Dundee United keeper is talking to because all we’ve heard is that he’s been speaking to Celtic all week.
There was reports back in March [The Sun] that Manchester United may have been looking at him as a back up option and if that interest comes to fruition, Celtic may have to go back to the drawing board in search for another back up keeper.
It was Alan Nixon himself that broke that story and when pressed further on Twitter if that was the case, the veteran journalist seemed to take issue with a Celtic blogger turning his comments into a story:
Ffs. They’re at at again. Casual convo becomes some headline. For the rest of the window it’s stories on the site. No Q and A. Cheers.

Which is strange because Alan knows how this game works. He has been in it long enough so for him to seem to take issue with a blogger reporting on what was effectively a transfer update is very strange indeed.
