Remember on trophy day when Chris Jullien’s interview with French media came out?

Of course you do. Well if you don’t, let’s remind ourselves of what he said at the time, “Since mid-January, I feel 100%, after that it is the choices of the coach.

“It belongs to him and he is successful: we have been champions since Wednesday and in December we won the cup.

“For my part, I told the coach in January that I was ready to go.

“Now it’s his choice and sometimes he doesn’t name me on the bench because he prefers to take a midfielder who can play in central defence.

“I’m unsatisfied with my playing time this season because it’s frustrating and all I want is to be on the pitch.”

He went on further, in what seems like a threat to leave the club if his playing time doesn’t increase, “Despite the fact that I gave everything for this club and I would have liked to bring more to the team this year, the playing time is not there at all.

“I still have a year left of my contract here and I would like to continue playing but my priority is to be on the pitch.

“In my situation and with this current playing time, it is not possible.”

It seemed that at the time he was issuing a demand for Ange Postecoglou to play him or lose him.

It didn’t go down well with some sections of the Celtic fans and it seemed that he may have booked his ticket out of Paradise.

Not so now it appears.

According to reports [Daily Record], Jullien’s representatives have met Ange Postecoglou and spoke of his determination to stay and fight for his place in the team.

It also appears that no bids have been received for the player either.

Are the two connected? Who knows but one thing is for sure, Jullien did make an error of judgement.

Why not come out and make his ‘fight’ for his place in the team public rather than moan about not getting played?

That’s the avenue he should have taken first.

It will be interesting to see if Ange is of a mind to forgive and forget.

We’ll see what pre season brings.

  • Ian McGuigan says:

Big Julien better harden up or he’ll not play for us again . Big Dykes threw him about whenever we played Livingston so he’s going to have to be a lot tougher or his times up.

Paddy I don’t know if you are aware of this but your article has been plagiarised by celticnowandforever . com. These guys are sc**bags it seems, as I caught them doing the same to a bornceltic article on Friday I think it was.

Anyway in my opinion fellow Tims we should be staying away from such parasites and not giving them our clicks. Pay heed to where you are being linked to at all times…you could accidentally wind up at the Daily Record….
