With all the rumours of Albian Ajeti apparently on his way out of Celtic, it seems the Hoops are ready to cut their losses and take a massive financial hit on the Swiss international.

Since arriving from West Ham last season for £5m, Ajeti has struggled to make his mark on the side, especially through the tumultuous season of ten in a row.

As news spread that Celtic are looking to let him go this winter, journalist Mark Guidi, has gave the figure he believes the Hoops will accept.

Speaking on Go Radio, Guidi said, “There appears to be one or two things doing the rounds that Ajeti will be allowed to leave in January which I don’t think comes as a surprise to anyone.

“It’s just not happened for him. He arrived behind the eight ball in terms of fitness when he was signed 18 months ago.

“He scored a couple of goals for Celtic. Wee bits here and there but at four and a half million pounds, he has been a big, big disappointment.

“And I don’t know what Celtic will get back for him. Maybe get a million quid or something like that which would be okay but I think they’re just willing to write their losses off and let him go.”

A £4m loss but at least the move will free up almost £100k a month on wages that the manager could use to help fund the apparent deals for Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
