As quoted by the Sun, Rapid Vienna’s sporting director Zoran Barisic has suggested that it will be only a matter of time until the bids start coming in for Boli Mbombo.
The defender is a left-back and the same report has suggested that we are interested in the player – particularly if Kieran Tierney leaves the club.
Indeed, we are short at left-back anyway so if KT does move on we are going to desperately need back-up options to come in for that area.
Mbombo might be of interest, then, but it could well be the case that other sides are interested too and that they will look to bid – Burnley are one of the attracted parties according to the report.
Indeed, it looks as though bids are expected for the Celtic target, with Barisic having this to say:
“There have been enquiries for Boli, but no offers so far.
“But we know there will be concrete offers soon.”
Will the Bhoys be one of the sides that go for him, then? That remains to be seen…
