Kris Boyd’s surprising take on Celtic’s winner

Celtic earned a well deserved three points against an Aberdeen side who should be ashamed of that home performance.

Rarely have I seen such an insipid attempt to strangle a game than what I watched from Jim Goodwin’s side.

Ten men behind the ball, this was a tough watch as Goodwins tactics made Walter Smith’s anti-football tactics from 2008/09 look like Angeball.

But it took a Callum McGregor wonder strike, Celtic’s 33rd shot at goal of the game, to break the deadlock with six minutes to go and take the three points back down to Glasgow.

And Kris Boyd had a surprisingly positive take on the winner.

Speaking post match on Sky Sports, Boyd said, “You can say, yeah, it’s another late goal and it was.

‘But it’s not a fluke. It’s not. They repeatedly do it.

“And to be fair I mean, it was total domination from Celtic today.

“It was a fantastic strike because it was probably the only way you’re ever going to beat Kelle Roos today because he was really good and it was a fantastic strike by Callum.”

No snarkiness. No snide comments. Just the truth.

I’m guessing Boyd must have been in at the mulled wine at half time because it’s strange to hear him be positive about a winner that normally sickens him.

Must have got his teeth in a Blackpool joke shop.
Fkn terrible all these fk tv presenters getting teeth jobs and sitting in front of a mirror posing to get it right.

My personal opinion is he’s been warned by his employers to be careful what he says or he’s out the door
