What a sight for sore eyes it was to see our Japanese bhoy back in the green and white.

Not since Henrik Larsson have the Celtic supporters been so excited about a player being available for selection.

Kyogo Furuhashi has already endeared himself to the Hoops support and last night he showed exactly why Ange Postecoglou needs him in the team.

He is a menace to defenders.

His movement up front and how he plays off the shoulder of defenders, quite simply, Furuhashi is a nightmare to play against, but an absolute joy to watch.

Last night against Bayer Leverkusen, the lighting striker passed up a couple of gilt edged chances to put Celtic in front first of all, but to also get us back in the game when it was finely poised at 2-0.

But after three weeks on the treatment table, it’s understandable that his target sights were a little off but at least he shook off that little bit of rust just in time for the trip to Aberdeen.

Furuhashi took to twitter just minutes ago to deliver a message to the Celtic fans and sent them a promise that will leave them all looking forward to Sunday with excitement,

“Glad to be back in Paradise Four leaf clover Now it’s time to focus on the next game!

“I was happy to be back at Celtic Park.

“Next time I will definitely grab the victory!”

We all certainly hope Kyogo will have his shooting boots on and no doubt if he is on form, the three points will be heading back to Glasgow with the team bus on Sunday afternoon.
