For the second time in a row, we have seen a negative Celtic story hit the headlines in a week where the club are trying to focus on the League Cup Final on Sunday.

When I covered the Giorgos Giakoumakis

As reported by The Herald, Football Scotland, Scottish Daily Express and the Daily Record, Kyogo has apparently ‘knocked back’ Crystal Palace interest.

Kyogo said, “I want to be as successful as possible with this club. My focus is only on Celtic to be able to have the most possible success for the club,

“As a team, we want to win as many titles as possible with Celtic.

“As my personal goal, I would like to score 30 goals this season, but of course, I don’t know what will happen in the future.

“So I just want to score as many goals as possible and contribute to the team’s victory.”

Now context is everything here.  Which German interview was this? What was the preceding question that got the response from Kyogo?

Was he asked about his vision for the club? Where does he see himself in the team? What the future holds for him in the team?

Or was he asked a direct question about the reported interest from Crystal Palace?

As there is no link back from any of these publications to verify the source of the interview, I can’t tell.

I posed the question earlier today, ‘Why do Celtic fans believe that the media in Scotland is against our club.’

What’s your answer to that now?
