Celtic fans are hopeful that Kieran Tierney starts for Brendan Rodgers’ side against Valencia in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
The Hoops are looking to progress to the last 16 of the competition and need a positive result this week to take back to Spain for an exceptionally difficult away leg.
Form has been incredible domestically, but everyone knows the La Liga outfit are a far tougher test than any other team in Scotland and we need to be at our absolute best to get a result.
One of the problem positions for Rodgers in the build-up to the match is at left-back.
Tierney hasn’t played since the Salzburg clash in mid-December and Emilio Izaguirre also missed out on Sunday’s Scottish Cup fixture.
That leaves just Jonny Hayes as back-up, who is not a natural in the position whatsoever.
Tierney returned to training last week and as reported by The Scottish Sun this morning is doing his best to convince the manager he can be trusted to start.
Fans are eager to see him int he starting line-up, taking to Twitter this week to discuss the issue…
