Last night, we at Vital Celtic reported that Ange Postecoglou is looking already at the January transfer window to build the team for next season.

With reports circulating that the Hoops boss is looking at 6 foot 9 inch towering striker Kyle Hudlin from Solihull Moors.

The striker caught has caught the eye of many clubs over the close season with reports that Manchester City, Cardiff and Middlesbrough are all keeping a close watch on the 21 year old as he continues to impress at non league level.

It seems that one of the alleged interested clubs have now ruled themselves out of the running for the tallest striker in the UK. According to Wales Online,  when The Bluebirds boss, Mick McCarthy was asked if he had plans to sign Hudlin, he answered with a simple, “No.”

And you would think that with the calibre of player Manchester City generally go for, Hudlin would not fit their usual profile.

And of course, as I reported last night, it is difficult to see how the youngster fits Ange Postecoglou’s profile as well considering his high pressing  and slick passing style.

When interviewed by the Solihull Observer after winning the joint top scorer award in his division, Hudlin revealed there is a lot more to his game than meets the eye, “I’m glad that I’ve been able to show that I’ve got a wide range of goals [in me], I’m not just a heading man.

“I’ve got a bit of everything, I showed that I’ve been creative with the back heel against Notts County, that I can create my own piece of magic against Halifax.

“It’s pleasing that most of my goals have been vital ones, most have been winners.”
