Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has indicated defender Dedryck Boyata could feature for the club again as early as this week and many fans aren’t happy with the revelation.
Speaking to media after today’s win against Partick Thistle at Firhill, the Hoops boss said that the Belgian is set to re-join first-team training on Monday and could even feature in Thursday’s match agains FK Suduva.
Having recently refused to play for the team amidst his transfer dispute with the club, it’s an unexpected turn of events and perhaps suggests that the player and his representatives have reached agreement with the Hoops board.
The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for Rodgers’ side since returning from this summer’s World Cup, with the manager having to cope with a makeshift defence in vital European ties.
Fans have been left fuming with Boyata’s actions and it’s fair to say they are not happy with the prospect of him returning to the pitch any time soon.

So it looks like that disgrace Boyata is worming his way back in the team. Ridiculous. He downed tools and disrespected the players and undermined the manager. There should be no way back for him. If Rodgers has given in to him that easily he really needs to give his head a shake
