Celtic didn’t have all that much to celebrate with regards to major announcements over the summer, with our board not delivering many new faces the way of Brendan Rodgers.

That was a shame, especially given that we lost some fairly big names.

Naturally, keeping ahold of your best talent is just as important if not more so than signing new players, and so it’s also important that new contracts are agreed in addition to new signings.

Fortunately, whilst we may not be doing too well sorting out the latter, new contracts are seemingly on the agenda.

Celtic confirmed this week that Ryan Christie has agreed fresh terms at the club, and it’s the least that he deserves having made such a strong start to the season.

However, it doesn’t appear as though fans are particularly satisfied. Indeed, whilst Celtic supporters will be happy that Christie is set to stay, many others want another new deal – this time for Dedrick Boyata. His current deal expires at the end of the season, and it’s evident that an extension is wanted.
