The stress on Jota not being tied up already is starting to show in some Celtic fans.

Every official Celtic twitter post is jumped on with supporters demanding the Portuguese ace permanent signing is announced.

The truth is, until he returns from holiday, we all just have to be patient.

A Celtic fan account tweeted their frustration to Sky Sports Anthony Joseph tonight :

The trusted journalist was having none of it as he replied:

And as he was challenged again on the details of the Jota deal, Joseph replied, “I’m talking about Bernabei, there.

“Our last info on Jota was that everything was agreed with Benfica and the next step is to finalise personal terms with the player.

“Jota is very much living his best life atm on a million holidays, it seems!”

Patience is the name of the game it seems and it does look like the hardest part of the deal is sorted in the fee and add ones.

I believe Jota will sign on for Celtic.

I believe he will become a Celtic player. All the signs are pointing to it.

We just need to sit tight and wait it out.

Something does seem a little off here. He doesn’t have a day between his million holidays to meet with a representative of Celtic to sign a contract? He has not gone to his home, presumably in Lisbon, since May. What is he doing back-packing? He earns 20 grand a week I doubt he is camping. The more likely scenario is he is either waiting for a ‘better offer’, probably a Palace or a Leeds or he has been approached by another club and is waiting to see what their contract has in it. He may miraculously be able to find a flight to the UK if the EPL come calling. Why are Celtic allowing this to happen? Are we being ‘Howe-d’ again?
