Paddy McCourt has been impressed by Honduran full-back Emilio Izaguirre after the pair have recently spent time together on the injury list.
Izaguirre is currently on the way back from a thigh problem collected during the recent 6-0 thrashing of Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park.
“It just happens that Emilio and I are coming back around the same time,” McCourt told Celtic’s official website. “I’m probably a couple of days ahead of him but we’ve been able to train together and have kept each other company in a way.
“I think Emilio has been absolutely outstanding since he came in. Everybody has been really impressed with him and he looks a top, top player. And some of the other lads have been impressive as well.”
McCourt was himself hoping for a return to duty against Dundee United this weekend.
