Words of warning from Murphy

Daryl Murphy has told his Celtic team-mates to forget about the forthcoming Old Firm derby and instead concentrate on this weekend’s clash with Dundee United.

The visitors travel to Tannadice on Sunday searching for their eighth successive victory. But the former Sunderland striker has warned against any slip-ups and the handing of a psychological advantage to the Ibrox club ahead of their meeting.

“It is a massive game for us,” Murphy told the Glasgow Evening Times. “Obviously we`re looking forward to that one. I think we need to go there and start off quickly as I think we have been slow out of the blocks in the last couple of games.

“We need to go there from the first whistle to the last whistle and impose ourselves on the game and make sure we get three points because we have the Rangers game coming up and can`t afford any slip-ups,” he added.

“We know we need to keep winning games.”
