The Celtic fans are desperate to see this move get done aren’t they?

The Jota to Celtic showcase looks like rumbling on for a few months yet and as the Portuguese winger continues his impressive form this season, the Hoops supporters will be worried that the more exposure the 22 year old gets, the chances of landing him at the end of his loan deal diminish.

But as Jota continues to enjoy his football at Celtic, trusted transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke makes a claim that will delight the Paradise support.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, O’Rourke said of the Jota deal, “I think Celtic are confident they can get this deal done.

“There wasn’t any major urgency to do it in January.”

Which seems to fit with the progress of the deal as it stands.

The report does say that talks broke down [Sky Sports] between Celtic and Benfica in January about a permanent move but O’Rourke does seem confident that the Hoops will get this deal over the line.

Jota has been in sensational form for Celtic this season wit height goals and seven assists in twenty four appearances but it is also his trickery and ability to beat a man that has the Celtic fans on the edge of their seats and hoping that the club can broker a deal at the end of the season.
