Earlier this week, Football Insider reported that Celtic are going to think about going back in for David Turnbull in the January window – providing he is fit and firing.

The winger did look like a player we were going to sign in the summer window but the saga rumbled on and eventually, the Bhoys decided that, at the time, it was not worth it.

However, they appear to have retained an interest in the player and it could well be the case that in January we look to bring him in from the high-flying Motherwell.

It sounds like he could well want to move here, too, as Alan Hutton has suggested that he’ll be delighted to hear that the Hoops are still keen on bringing him in.

Speaking to Football Insider, the former Scotland man said:

“He’s got the operation to get back fit and Celtic obviously see something in him they need. At the time he’d have been disappointed but Celtic are still there and wanting him so I’m sure he’ll be over the moon with that and just looking to go from strength to strength.”

It would be any dream for a player of this country, so let’s see if we make it happen at last in the next window.
